Slag discharge valve, also known as wear-resistant gate valve or slag discharge gate valve, is a type of gate valve. Mainly suitable for media such as mineral slurry, ash slurry, water sand, coal slag, etc. According to different working conditions, different driving methods can be used, including manual, pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, and electro-hydraulic. The connection method generally adopts flange connection. The slag discharge valve is roughly similar to a gate valve, with different designs in its internal structure. The slag discharge valve is a two-stage valve body structure design, with one end being a single sealed valve and the other end being designed with a slag guide groove. The medium enters through the sealed end face, and the slag guide surface flows out. The slag residue at the bottom of the valve body is carried out by the flow of the medium. When the valve is cut off and closed, it will not be affected by the solidification of the medium at the bottom, which will affect the normal closing function of the valve plate.

There are generally two designs for slag discharge valves, namely the ordinary type and the lined ceramic type. There is no essential difference in structure. The ceramic type mainly uses ceramic lining in the inner cavity of the valve body, and ceramic sealing is used for the valve seat and valve plate. The main function of ceramic is high hardness, wear resistance, and erosion resistance, which is more durable than the ordinary type. At the same time, the sealing effect is also very good, and it is generally zero leakage when it leaves the factory.

Their service life is more than several times longer than that of ordinary alloy sealing surfaces.
